Ileana
Garcia is a well known professional singer from Costa
Rica. Her mother Guadalupe had been fighting cancer for
the past 6 years in Costa Rica. Ileana was unable to see
her mother for over 10 years and recently had made arrangements
for her mother to fly out here to Los Angeles so she could
see doctors here in the US. Her mother's medical condition
was a lot worse than she expected, but she still made
the trip. Ileana's mother arrived at the LAX International
Airport on Monday, May 15 at 11pm and she got even worse
with the flight that by Wednesday at noon Ileana was waiting
for the paramedics to come. Her mother was taken to the
UCLA Medical Center and her battle with cancer ended on
Friday late that night. Ileana's sister told her that
her mother said, "I have to see my daughter"
and Ileana's strongly believes that her mother came to
see her and say goodbye. Our condolances go out to Ileana
and her family.
